After a well balanced start, Veszprém had trouble to net the ball, which gave Hamburg the opportunity to extend their lead up to six goals. Throughout the first half Veszprém did not manage to cut it down and was already eleven goals behind after 30 minutes.

Even after the break the ten first minutes of the second half were much the same. After Hamburg changed his team and took Pascal Hens off the field, Veszprém was able to reduce the lead to 35:37. Had they done so in the first half already, the match could have been way more interesting.

Written by Daniel Stierle:

Ademar Leon, the team that TSG Ehingen played yesterday, had at the beginning an equal opponent in Celje. Due to an outstanding goal keeper performance Leon was able to be 5 goals in front after 20 minutes and went with a 14:17 lead into the break.

In the first half the back players were dominating, but in the second half the match was more attractive because more tactics were involved. However, Leon had the better shot efficiency and hence won with 25:34. The best players on the field during this match were Harbok from Celje and Schlinger from Leon, both of them having convincing actions from the back.

The coach of Celje took his team time-out in order to prepare his players better for the way the Kieler played. Unfortunately, it did not seem to help much as the half-time score of 22:13 shows.

Also in the second half, Kiel was simply convincing. After three quarters of the match, Kiel was more hold back and let Celje reduce the goal difference to 29:24. Nonetheless they did not let them come any closer and won at the end with 40:32.

During the first thirty minutes it was a restless and high-class match, both teams challenging each other and not being able to go in front with more than one goal.
